Peace be with you and welcome to The Chapel of Jesus Our Eternal Priest. The Chapel is dedicated for the purpose of perpetually adoring Jesus Christ in the Most Holy Eucharist, with the intention of asking God to call forth vocations to the Church. Please include in your prayer intentions, a prayer for vocations. In the Gospel (Matthew 9:35-38) Jesus went around to all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and curing every disease and illness. At the sight of the crowds, His heart was moved with pity for them because they were troubled and abandoned, like sheep without a shepherd. Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few, so ask the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest." Jesus wants to feed and transform each person, for all are His precious children whom He calls into an intimate union. Here in the Holy Eucharist, God will touch hearts, heal wounds, guide the lost, humble the proud, strengthen the weak, free the bound, comfort the sorrowing, and call all his children to serve Him. Here in front of the Blessed Sacrament, the soul will find its greatest peace, its most noble calling and its eternal happiness
The Perpetual Adoration Chapel of Jesus our Eternal Priest began when our Shepherd, The Most Reverend Michael F. Burbidge processed the Holy Eucharist into the chapel on September 27th, 2008. The evening procession took place as hundreds of our Diocesan Youth, who were on retreat, formed a candle lit pathway for our Lord amidst a downpour of rain and grace. Before that memorable night, God blessed us with a visiting missionary preacher who travels the country helping people strengthen their love for the Lord in his Eucharistic presence. In February of 2008, we were visited by Fr. Joseph DeLuca. With his help, we began praying and planning for the start of the Chapel of Perpetual Adoration. As the months flew by, God's generosity poured forth strong leaders. The weekend of our appeal for future adorers produced over 600 of the faithful parishioners responded to the invitation to commit their lives to adoring Jesus Christ in the Eucharist. This generous response was contagious and the work on the Chapel began. Our Monstrance was given to the Church by a humble hermit who began praying for the over 25 years ago. In a matter of three months, the once little nursery, was transformed into a nursery of prayer and adoration. By generous benefactors and skilled hands, the walls, ceiling, lighting, carpet, pews, kneelers, Stations of the Cross, plants, painting, Sanctuary Lamp, Statues, Crucifix, linens, crown and baseboard molding, chapel sigh-in table, altar and altar stone came together by God's miraculous grace and our Lady's intercession. Because of God's grace and the generosity of many, today we have a quiet place for you to come and pray in the presence of Jesus Christ. A place where you can find refuge and peace, a place where you can deepen your relationship with Jesus Christ who waits for you in the Eucharist. We hope you fall in love with Jesus who longs to sit an hour with you. Thank you for visiting.
